The Westlake Village Art Guild is pleased to host a Dinner & Art Demonstration, featuring fine artist, animator and filmmaker George Scribner. George was born in Panama City, Panama and has been with The Walt Disney Company for over thirty-five years, serving as a character animator, concept artist, project director and filmmaker. He has chronicled, in paintings, the construction of Shanghai Disneyland and the newest Walt Disney Cruise ships.
George was commissioned by the Government of Panama to document the expansion of the Panama Canal, and spent nine years creating thirty-five large-scale oil paintings documenting the expansion of the canal. The series of paintings are now part of the permanent collection at the Museo del Canal in Panama City.
The Dinner & Demo event check-in opens at 5:30 PM, buffet dinner at 6 PM, followed by the art demonstration. Reservations are required and may be made on-line at www.westlakevillageartguild.org (DEMOS) on or before November 29. Cost is $28 for members, $35 for guests. This event is open to the public.
