This event has been postponed till further notice:
Speaker Mary Bothwell will give a free, one-hour talk entitled Experiencing Heaven Now on how to feel the peace and safety of God’s presence anytime, anywhere, on Sunday, March 29 at 1 p.m. at the Camarillo Public Library, 4101 Las Posas Road in Camarillo.
In her talk organized by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Camarillo, Bothwell will share how the study of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, a book that explains the healing relevance of the Bible, can open up a new meaning of heaven to each of us. This heaven isn’t a place, but a tangible feeling of being enveloped in love and spirituality that comes from understanding more about God. She’ll explore the new perspectives that come from this understanding of God–healing perspectives that can resolve all kinds of difficulties and transform our lives for good.
Bothwell prays with people of many faiths as a Christian Science practitioner to achieve healing through prayer, as taught by Christ Jesus. Various health and emotional issues have been cured, interpersonal relationships harmonized and supply restored through her healing work. Before she entered the public practice of Christian Science, Bothwell spent 34 years working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Christian Science is the Christian religion founded in the United States 150 years ago by Mary Baker Eddy and the foundation of the Pulitzer-prize winning Christian Science Monitor. Eddy founded The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Mass. in 1879 as the primary church of what has grown to roughly 1,700 branch churches in 80 countries.
