Please come take a wild romp through the mind of our protagonist Dave Robinson in this zany but touching production. Dave is a successful IRS Tax Auditor but hates his job. He is in a personal development prison, having been to seminars, workshops, churches, and therapists, seeking clarity. Dave desires to break free, find nirvana, live an epic life. What is holding him back? Could it be the Drunken Monkey mind, along with the Drunken Monkey’s various allies representing inner and often unconscious mental chatter? Dave is becoming more aware of these inner voices and is learning to navigate the sea of limiting beliefs, dogma, and unconscious anti-motivators. Come with Dave on his journey in this metaphysical musical dramedy as he meets Dr. Lolly Levy (a motivational minister/seminar leader/author), the internalized voices of his parents (DOG, his Jewish father and MA, his Irish Catholic ex-nun mother – PICTURED ABOVE); and as he discovers the voice of his higher self and experiences one more surprise encounter that changes his life. PC-13 – colorful language in one scene.
