The latest salvo in an ongoing battle among Port Hueneme City Council members has been added to the Nov. 9 meeting agenda, when they will discuss changing committee assignments.“I’m frankly not comfortable having them (Councilmen Tom Figg and Jim Hensley) on committees,” Douglas Breeze told the remaining council members at a special Saturday meeting called to encourage “team building” — a goal that fell flat when Figg and Hensley walked out.

“Their behavior today tells me that they are not willing to work together,” Breeze said, “that they’re interested in chaos and destruction.”

Hensley said later that he and Figg left because Jonathan Sharkey read a written statement with a laundry list of allegations — including threats of violence — that made them suspect they were being set up as targets for litigation.
