Chica is a 6-year-old American Staffordshire terrier mix with love to share. She does well well around children and other dogs. She is housebroken and walks well on a leash. She has a little bit of arthritis, so she would prefer a home with only moderate activity.
Chica can be seen at Santa Paula Animal Rescue, located at 705 E. Santa Barbara St. in Santa Paula. It is open every day except Monday and Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 525-8609.
Grace is intelligent, affectionate and playful and has the quiet intensity common in the working breeds. She would thrive in a home with a female owner, where she is the only pet and where she has companionship for a large part of the day. She’s been attending obedience training classes every Saturday and is house- and crate-trained, She will come when called and sits on command. She’s an active dog who needs regular daily exercise, walks well on a leash, and enjoys hiking and running.
Grace can be seen by calling the Canine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.) at 644-7387 to schedule a meet and greet at the sanctuary in Santa Paula or the adoption center in Ventura. C.A.R.L. also has regular viewing hours for select dogs from noon to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday at Sam’s Place Adoption Center, located behind Ventura Pet Barn, at 3203 E. Main St. (Photo by See Spot Pose.)
