Santa Paula Theater Center’s annual attempt to scare up some funding returns, for its 17th year, with haunting portrayals of people and events from the city’s rich history on this hour-long guided tour. Donna Nelson, pictured, performs as a ghost in Josie’s Tale, set in rural Santa Paula during a particularly wet year when a sudden increase in the mice population got a bit scary for farmers. Artistic Director Dee Helsel applauds Nelson’s penchant for drama and her “wonderful ability to bring to life a memorable tale.” The Ghostwalk runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $8-$15. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the Haunt Line at 525-3073
