Swinging local legends, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy get the dance floor jumping for a good cause this Friday, Sept. 30 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

This weekend, Bombay Bar and Grill brings their always popular outdoor stage back to celebrate their anniversary. A one off reunion show by the sorely missed but never forgotten, Psycho Café on Saturday, Oct. 1 headlines the two day event.

Portland based indie pop rockers The Cabin Project descend from their green home base to take in a little seaside sunshine and perform at Zoey’s on Thursday, Sept. 29.
 

Danielle Taylor  celebrates her EP release with Bryan Dixon (Softsilence) on Saturday, Sept. 24, 8 p.m. at Zoey’s.

Classic rockers UFO will perform at the Ventura Theater with a slew of up and coming local bands on Monday, Sept. 26.

Thursday, Sept. 22, Ventura Shows presents Hope is Noise from Ireland with After the Glaciers Are Gone at Billy O’s. 

Numbskull Productions presents Davila 666 (Puerto Rico), No!se, Honey Badgers and Seth Pettersen at Billy O’s on Friday, Sept. 16, 9 p.m.

Scene kids rejoice! Local band Reluctant Hero will perform with MySpace pop-punk phenom New Years Day on Friday, Sept. 16 at Epic in Ventura.

Saturday, Sept. 10, Crave Lounge presents a sampling of local talent in different genres featuring Black Action Suits, Electric Sister, The Calamity, Shoddy Cons, Phantom Pomps and Nicole Eva Emery (Lovebird).

On Tuesday, Sept. 13, Crayzee Randall’s Comedy Night at the Q-Club will feature Julia Lillis of E! Entertainment Television at 9 p.m.  

Saturday, Sept. 3, Indie West Fest presents the Jamboree by the Sea at Crave Bar and Lounge with Old Man Markley, Jackass, The Pullmen, Cold Blue Rebels, Embalmers, Radio Threat and Dusty Bottom Girls.

The Ventura Theater welcomes Timmy Curran and Dominic Balli on Sunday, Sept. 4.
