OJAI STUDIO ARTISTS TOUR AND ART DETOUR Oct. 12 and 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Two events the same weekend put Ojai’s rich art history in the spotlight. The Ojai Studio Artists Tour, celebrating its 30th year, lets art lovers get up close and personal with artists in their natural habitat: the studio. (Pictured is sculptor Ted Gall.) Self-guided and docent-guided tours are available for $20-$100. Gala dessert reception on Saturday, Oct. 12, 7-8:30 p.m. at Ojai Art Center is included with both tours. The Art Detour is a free self-guided tour featuring additional Ojai artists. Reception on Saturday, Oct. 12, 6-9 p.m. at Bohemia Coffee House. 805’S GOT TALENT INDUSTRY SHOWCASE Sunday, Oct. 13.
Celebrities residing in the 805 will congregate in a talent and fashion showcase. Teams and contestants can compete in a judged talent show, followed by a celebrity-judged fashion show. Celebrating all things Scottish, the Seaside Highland Games returns to the Ventura County Fairgrounds with bagpipes and drums, fiddles, over 80 clans of Scotsmen and atletich competitions.
