WEARING OUR STORIES: COSTUME AND CULTURAL IDENTITY IN THE LATINO COMMUNITY Saturday, Sept. 19, through Nov. 29. An exhibition celebrating how personal stories, religious and popular traditions and political statements expressive of Latino culture are artistically woven into clothing and adornment. Prominent members of Ventura County's Latino community are featured in the exhibit as well as paintings, assemblage and folk baroque jewelry by Jill Sattler.
