With moe than half of recent college graduates unemployed or underemployed, it is time for a new approach. Yong Zhao bases his argument on the massive amount of evidence he gathered for his new book World Class Learners: Educating Creative and Entrepreneurial Students and his Catching Up or Leading the Way: American Education in the Age of Globalization. Zhao is an internationally known education expert. He has been invited to speak on educational issues in nearly 20 countries on six continents more than 400 times over the past three years. He has published more than 20 books and 100 articles. At the University of Oregon, he serves as a professor in the Department of Educational Measurement, Policy and Leadership, associate dean and presidential chair of global education and online learning, and director of the Center for Advanced Technology in Education.
